In her New York City studio, the classically trained artist, Sylvia Witzenmann, uses gold as her medium to make one-of-a-kind articles of jewelry.
Beginning with a stone, a sheet of gold, and a line of gold wire, each piece is created with different goldsmithing techniques. The finished works, harmonious collaborations between artist and client, illuminate the wearer's personality.
Witzenmann's achievements include designing a collection of jewelry for the NYC Metropolitan Opera Guild's 50th anniversary celebration; the collection traveled throughout the United States.
Sylvia has had work sold through the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, she has exhibited in galleries throughout the US and her work is sought after by international collectors.
